Drakensberg »

Drakensberg -- Afrikaans: "Dragon's Mountain -- is the highest mountain range in Southern Africa, with tops up to 3 480 m. It's located in the east part of South Africa.

The uKhahlamba National Park is a 2430 km² large park -- a World Heritage Site -- that has an average altitude of 3000 m.

The big nature attraction is the Amphitheater, a rock wall about 5km in length, and around 1000m in height between the western Sentinel  -3 165 m and Eastern Buttress -3 047m.

We stayed at Thendele Camp with a wonderful view over the mountains and valleys.
