Murphy's Law - Variations

  • If it can happen, it will happen.
  • Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
  • If there's more than one way to do a job, and one of those ways will result in disaster, then somebody will do it that way
  • Anything that can, could have, or will go wrong, is going wrong, all at once
  • Anything that can go wrong already has, you're just not aware of it yet!
  • If there are two or more ways to do something, and one of those ways can result in a catastrophe or pregnancy, then someone will do it.
  • If anything can go even worse, it will go even worse.
  • The major difference between a thing that might go wrong
and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong
is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong
it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.
    (Douglas Adams)
